This place was so perfect down to every last detail & by far the best Airbnb we have stayed in! This was a perfect night getaway and we left wishing we could stay 1 more! Eveything was perfect - the location was peaceful yet close to everything, the decor, the hot tub, spa shower, hammock, games, and the farm animals & sweet dogs were an added bonus! Lauren did such a nice job of making this place feel like a home away from home - she truly has a talent! She was the best host, providing us with everything we could possibly need, with the additional local goodies such as coffee, stickers, chicken eggs, firewood, etc. This place was absolutely wonderful & we can’t wait to come back!

We absolutely fell in LOVE with this Airbnb! The location, the details, the cleanliness, the activities & farm animals…. The list could go on and on. We have never felt more at home in an Airbnb. Lauren was so accommodating and quick to respond, we truly felt so welcomed.

We are already planning our next trip back! If you’re looking for the perfect getaway, this is the place.

I wish I could include our photos of the goats, donkey, and even the peacocks that joined us in the afternoon. Such a cool experience!

We recently had the pleasure of staying at this incredible homestead, and I can’t say enough good things about our experience! From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed with warm hospitality and a genuine sense of care from Lauren and her family. The homestead is a true oasis of peace and tranquility, nestled in a beautiful, natural setting that feels like a world away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life.
The accommodations were outstanding, and the attention to detail throughout the entire space made the place feel cozy and inviting.
One of the highlights of our stay was exploring the homestead itself. The property is immaculately maintained, with charming walking paths and plenty of spots to sit and take in the beauty of the surroundings. We also had the pleasure of meeting some of the friendly animals on the farm, which all were friendly! We will miss sweet Mabel. We truly did not want to leave. Thank you Lauren for everything!!

Our experience at the Barn Owl was outstanding!! Out in the country on 40 acres left us great opportunities to explore and Lauren and Derrick hosted as though we were close friends. Although it is called the barn owl, it didn’t feel like a barn at all. It was a little slice of heaven! Thank you for the wonderful stay!

We had the most amazing stay and experience here! Highly recommend staying here to get away for a long weekend. The house and area are beyond gorgeous with a lot to do and we really enjoyed the outdoor/barn area space. Lauren and her family are phenomenal hosts who went above and beyond. Will absolutely be coming back if I get the chance!

I can't say enough about Lauren's place! It is very convenient to all of the local attractions, clean, cozy, well-maintained, and just a really cool place to stay. My wife and I will be back!

My wife and I very much enjoyed our time at The Barn Owl. This spot is impeccably maintained and decorated, and well-situated in Red River Gorge. Highly recommend.

An incredible last minute find. I have to say the attention to detail and care put into creating this country mountain getaway is priceless! Everything is as it says and more. The farm animals on top of the amazing space you get to enjoy made my heart so full. We will definitely be returning.
