This place is complete bliss and serenity. Quiet, peaceful, and just a short drive to everything, even though we didn’t leave once. We had everything we needed there. Trails to waterfalls and a cool little shack with a wood-burn stove. This was the perfect adventure for a perfect weekend. I can’t articulate how much we needed a weekend like this.

Our stay at the barn was amazing! This was our first time at RRG and we couldn’t have picked a better location to stay. We loved the small hiking trails on the farm! The hot tub and the hammock were especially nice at night, paired with a bottle of wine. It made for a very romantic and peaceful evening. We will absolutely be staying at the Hooting Owl Homestead for all our future getaways at RRG!

I cannot recommend this place highly enough! The property, service, intentionality, uniqueness, and cleanliness are all the best of the best! The property itself has enough to explore and enjoy for an amazing trip, but its proximity to great hikes and food in RRG is next level! Lastly, the hosts go above and beyond, their commitment to a wonderful experience for my wife and I was extraordinary. Do yourself and your family/friends a favor and book this place!

Lauren’s place was wonderful! Their property was picturesque and the location was phenomenal. The place was spotless inside and the farm eggs gathered that morning was a great touch! Would definitely recommend staying here.

She was so kind, helpful, and understanding when i had to make a last minute change. Very accommodating and very gracious host 🙏 will highly recommend and we already want to go back ! Great experience all around

What a beautiful place on a beautiful property! The entire house was spotless and very organized. It was the perfect place to relax after our days exploring RRG. The bed was also very comfortable. Lauren made sure to check in to make sure our stay was great. 10/10 recommend!

My husband and I stayed here for a little honeymoon and we were just so pleased with everything. Lauren was so easy to communicate with and gave us everything we needed for a perfect stay. We LOVED our cabin and had so much to do without even going out of it. From board games, to the hot tub, to cornhole! We had it all right there. I enjoyed going to visit all the farm animals and exploring the property and the trails. SO peaceful and quaint. Could not recommend staying here any more. I hope we can come back to stay in the Barn Owl or the other homes on the property.

To be honest the photos didn’t do it justice! This place was more than we expected! My husband took my girls and I here for a weekend getaway for my birthday, and thats just what it was! An amazing getaway from the hustle and bustle of life. Being April we new there was a chance of rain but that wasn’t even a concern, it only forced us to stay in this beautiful restored tabacco barn that offered everything! We had a blast having family game night every evening in the indoor/outdoor hangout ! The two story rustic charm delivered an amazing place to have breakfast, relax, and sleep the best night sleep! And thats just the living space, There was so much more, the amazing beauty outside on there gorgeous homestead that is made available to guests was unreal! The store is adorable and offers great take aways , and the ice-cream was the best! Our girls loved the playground nestled in the trees, the hikes, the animals , it was all just a magical place, a true blessing from God!! Thank U♥️

I think we all say “we’re gonna come back here” when on vacation. But oftentimes I don’t, it’s just the feel of the moment. Until this amazing place. I will be returning, probably frequently. I can’t find the words to express how many hugs my heart and soul received here. The Owl Barn is breathtakingly beautiful and incredibly comfortable. The nature and peace that surrounds it brings you to a tranquil state. The kindness and generosity from Lauren is not something I’ve experienced from Airbnb hosts before. Thank you for providing this space and hospitality for one of the most fulfilling vacations we’ve ever had.

The Hooting Owl Homestead is a delight. The kids loved the animals, trails, and play area. The Barn Owl was a beautifully done conversion from an old tobacco barn to a cozy home. It thoughtfully included amenities to make it feel like a vacation home, and it was perfectly located for many popular Red River Gorge hiking locations. The host takes hospitality to a new level and is very welcoming.
