I have stayed in many places all across the United States and none are in any comparison to Lauren’s cabin and property. Her attention to detail and the love she has put in to this vision she has created is something to experience. My fiancée and I had the best weekend, we will definitely be back very soon. It was so wonderful it is hard to describe. We couldn’t get over we were staying in what used to be a barn. We have stayed at several Airbnb’s and this gave us everything we wanted. We will be back

This weekend was pure bliss! The Barn Owl was so cute and clean! The farm fresh eggs, honey, and coffee were such a sweet surprise. Lauren and Derek were amazing hosts. We got engaged on this trip and Lauren stepped up and photographed for us to capture the memories. We can’t recommend them or their properties enough!

We had a wonderful stay at Red River Gorge! The barn was absolutely beautiful and the property was so well cared for. Our hosts were amazing—so welcoming and helpful. The location was perfect, super convenient to everywhere we wanted to explore. Highly recommend!

We had a wonderful stay at Lauren and Derek's place. The Barn Owl is a very cool space and Lauren and Derek are excellent hosts and made us feel very welcome. We even had visits from two of their dogs Huck and Mabel who are very sweet. We enjoyed roaming around the rest of the property and exploring a few of the trails. The Barn Owl is close to many great spots for dining and shopping and only a short drive to RRG.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ - A FIVE STAR EXPERIENCE! I surprised my boyfriend with a trip to RRG for his 40th birthday and we had the most magical weekend at the Hooting Owl Homestead! We will be back without a doubt. Lauren is the most gracious, welcoming and proactive hosts. She was extremely helpful and responsive - such a joy to interact with over the weekend. The Barn Owl was one of the cleanest AirBnBs I've ever stayed in, and it was even more comfortable than the pictures could ever lead you to believe. The setting is so so special. We loved being able to walk the farm and enjoy beautiful eastern Kentucky. We took full advantage of the farm goods at the farm stand, and enjoyed pork chops, ribeye, beer cheese, and farm fresh eggs. We ate so well. Lauren and Derek have created an exceptional experience in the RRG!

I cannot say enough about our time at the Hooting owl barn. Our weekend was perfect and everything we could have hoped for. Lauren and her family have enough above and beyond . I would definitely book with her again in the future.

Lauren’s place is absolutely adorable!! Within 20 minutes to all the attractions and hiking spots while also being in a peaceful setting. The complimentary eggs, coffee and honey were such a nice touch & Lauren is so sweet and responsive! 🙂 Would def choose to stay here again!
