Located in Campton, Kentucky, near the Red River Gorge and Daniel Boone National Forest, Hooting Owl Homestead is a peaceful place to step away from the noise and slow down for a while.

Whether you come to explore, rest, reconnect, or play, you’ll find a calm and welcoming retreat surrounded by natural beauty. Wake up to fresh farm eggs, listen to the birds sing and the water flow, breathe in the fresh mountain air, and enjoy the quiet rhythm of life on the homestead.

We are just moments from Miguel’s Pizza, beautiful hiking trails, local restaurants, shopping, and many of the adventures the Red River Gorge area has to offer.

Established in 2018, Hooting Owl Homestead began with a simple hope: to create a place rooted in hard work, meaningful hospitality, and a love for caring for others. Over the years, the farmhouse has been restored, gardens have grown, animals have filled the pastures, and the homestead has become a place where families and friends can gather, rest, and make lasting memories.

At the heart of everything we do is the love of Jesus and the belief that hospitality is one way we can share that love with others. It is our hope that every guest who visits feels genuinely welcomed, thoughtfully cared for, and at peace here.

Stay in our renovated 60-plus-year-old barn, hide away in a cabin in the woods, visit the chickens, goats, and ducks, spend the afternoon fishing, or explore the trails throughout the property without ever having to leave. You’ll have the comforts you need in your home away from home, along with the warm and generous hospitality Kentucky is known for.
