Join us for a day of hands-on wilderness safety and survival training tailored for families!
Spend the day learning essential outdoor skills together while deepening your connection with nature.

Class Highlights Include:
• Basic wilderness first aid
• Shelter-building techniques
• Fire-making skills
• Water filtration and purification methods
• Edible and medicinal plant identification
• Family-friendly, hands-on activities

(Most activities are completed as a family, with a few separate for kids and adults—all within eyesight!)

This immersive experience is perfect for families of all skill levels, from beginners to seasoned adventurers. You’ll leave with more confidence to enjoy the outdoors safely and responsibly.

Instructor Bio:
Craig Caudill, Director of Nature Reliance School, will lead this course alongside his wife, Jennifer. Craig is a certified Master Naturalist with decades of experience in outdoor survival and safety. He has taught everyone from families to military personnel, authored 8 books/field guides, and appeared on TV shows and national news segments. Known for his approachable teaching style, Craig’s passion is helping families feel equipped and confident in the outdoors.
Jennifer is certified in Project Wild, Project Wet, and Project Learning Tree, and has a degree in Early Elementary Education from Eastern Kentucky University. She homeschooled her children from grades 1-12, bringing a wealth of experience in education and family engagement.
